OCA San Mateo的27屆年度籌款和頒獎晚會是分會重大活動。今年的主題是“Individuals Who Inspire.”
晚會是OCA San Mateo的重大籌款活動，籌款主要用於以下三個方面：高中畢業班學生獎學金；Speak & Lead with Pride (提升當地高中學生公共演講和領導技能的研習班）Program; 以及分會實習。
成就獎項將頒於APA社區三位傑出成員。今年的獎項將授予Asian Americans for Community Involvement社區精神健康副主任Laurie Leung博士，San Mateo United Homeowners Association主席Ben Toy, 以及San Mateo County Human Services Agency的STEM教育聯絡人Josie Yu。
活動將由KGO Channel 7 News的David Louie和NBC Bay Area的Stephanie Chuang 主持。籌款活動包括沉默拍賣和抽獎。

OCA San Mateo’s 27th Annual Fundraiser and Gala Awards is the major event of the local Chapter. This year’s theme is “Individuals Who Inspire.”
The Gala dinner is OCA San Mateo’s major fundraiser which raises money for its high school senior academic scholarships; Speak & Lead with Pride (workshops designed to improve local high school students’ public speaking and leadership skills) Program; and Chapter internships.
Achievement awards will be given to three outstanding members of the APA Community. This year the Organization is proud to honor Dr. Laurie Leung, the associate director of Community Mental Health at Asian Americans for Community Involvement, Ben Toy, the president of San Mateo United Homeowners Association, and Josie Yu, STEM education liaison for the San Mateo County Human Services Agency.
David Louie of KGO Channel 7 News and Stephanie Chuang of NBC Bay Area will host the celebration. Fundraising events include a silent auction and raffle drawings.
The Fundraiser will take place on Sunday, October 5th, 2014, at 5:30pm at Dominic’s Inn at Oyster Point, 425 Marina Boulevard, South San Francisco, CA 94080. Tickets are $75 per person (OCA members) or $90 (non-members).
