San Francisco市長羅偉6月17日表示，對於出示Medi-Cal或CalFresh卡的低收入城市居民，San Francisco Zoo and Gardens門票降至3元。
此舉是市長降低工薪家庭成本的Family Opportunity Agenda的一部分。
「我們的世界級藝術和文化組織為每一位San Francisco人服務，不僅僅是有能力支付費用的人，」市長羅偉說。「從今天開始，持有Medi-Cal或CalFresh卡的San Francisco人只需3元就可參觀我們的動物園，加入我們的Museums for All專案中的數十家文化機構。從可負擔兒童保育到Union Square免費電影，我們每天都努力讓San Francisco成為一個工薪家庭能負擔得起生活、娛樂和成長的城市。」
動物園常規工作日門票為成人29元，2-11歲兒童20元，老年人24元。週末和節假日高2元。
除動物園門票降價外，一項名為Museums for All的城市專案也為享受公共福利的San Francisco居民提供最多四張免費或降價門票。
要獲得資格，參與者必須出示Electronic Benefits Transfer或Medi-Cal卡和San Francisco居住證明，如駕駛執照、學生或大學身份證或圖書館卡。
免費博物館和機構包括American Bookbinders Museum、Asian Art Museum、Cable Car Museum、Cartoon Art Museum、Children’s Creativity Museum、Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco、Chinese Historical Society of America、Conservatory of Flowers、Contemporary Jewish Museum、Guardians of the City Museum、de Young Museum、GLBT Historical Society Museum、Japanese Tea Garden、Legion of Honor Museum、Museum of the African Diaspora、Museum of Craft and Design、Museum of the Eye、Randall Museum、San Francisco Botanical Garden、San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA)、San Francisco Railway Museum、Tenderloin Museum、Walt Disney Family Museum 以及Yerba Buena Center for the Arts。
降價博物館和機構包括Exploratorium、San Francisco Zoo and Gardens以及Aquarium of the Bay。
