San Mateo County Fair Expands Ticket Availability
San Mateo County’s move into the yellow reopening tier allows for higher County Fair capacity and ticket sales.

Fair goers are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Same day ticket sales will only be available until the fair is at capacity.
San Mateo, Calif – The San Mateo County Fair will expand ticket availability for the 2021 fair as the county moves into California’s yellow reopening tier. Additionally, there will no longer be timed entry requirements for tickets purchased. Any ticket purchased grants admission at any time during fair operating hours for the date indicated on the ticket.
Those buying tickets are encouraged to purchase in advance as same day ticket sales will only be available until the fair reaches attendance capacity. Advance purchase will also save money, as the walkup gate admission is more expensive per ticket. “After more than 15 months of serving our county as both a COVID-19 testing site and vaccination clinic, the San Mateo County Event Center and Fair played a pivotal role in helping our community reach the state’s yellow reopening tier,” said Dana Stoehr, CEO of the San Mateo County Event Center. “With the yellow tier comes the ability to welcome even more fair fans to the 2021 County Fair and we couldn’t be more excited.”
The San Mateo County Fair will be largest county fair in the State of California since the beginning of the pandemic. To ensure everyone’s health and safety, face covering requirements will align with current California Department of Public Health policies. We will continue to monitor all changes to state and local public health guidelines and update our policies accordingly
“As the only large Bay Area Fair this summer, we are working hard to put on a safe and fun event that celebrates our community after a difficult year,” said Justin Aquino, San Mateo County Fair Manager. “We can’t wait for everyone to join us for the fun this June!”
The fair will operate on Saturday, June 5th and Sunday, June 6th and then resume operations Wednesday, June 9th through Sunday, June 13th. The fair will not operate to the public on Monday and Tuesday, June 7th and 8th.
Ticket prices for this year’s fair are:
· Adults: $15.00 in advance, $20.00 at the gate*
· Juniors (ages 6-12): $10.00 in advance, $15.00 at the gate*
· Seniors (62 & Over): $10.00 in advance, $15.00 at the gate*
· Children Under 5: FREE
*Tickets on Wednesday, June 9th will be $5.00 in advance and $10.00 at the gate for all ticket types.
Carnival Pay One Price wristbands are still available for purchase for each of the two daily sessions. Please note a separate wristband is required for each carnival session but individual ride tickets can be purchased and used in either session. Sessions will run from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and then from 4:30 p.m. until closing.

- Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) Session $30.00
