國立臺灣藝術大學【大觀舞集】以培養優質的舞蹈藝術專業人才為目標，並積極參與各類國際文化藝術交流活動，扮演文化尖兵的角色。例如2010年《臺灣思情》、2012年《花炫臺灣101》，獲得北美地區參與觀賞民眾的高度讚譽，今年《臺灣心‧四季情》更藉由藝術文化達到敦睦邦誼、聯繫僑界、提昇臺灣國際形象之效益。
今年度【大觀舞集】更積極籌備，迎接僑務委員會在美國、加拿大協助推展的「2017北美地區臺灣傳統週」活動。秉持著一貫專業態度與精緻的演出風格，本年度演出企劃特別呈現濃郁臺灣風情的舞蹈藝術之美，創作取材豐富多元，節目內容極具特色。藉由對臺灣自然景物與生活情境的體驗與觀察，將閩南、客家，以及原住民不同的文化元素融合在十五個緊湊的舞碼之中。在一個半小時的演出中，將呈現給觀眾一場充滿鄉思古幽情而又兼具現代風華文化體驗。冀盼以一場曼妙的舞蹈饗宴，跨越語言、文化與族群的藩籬，展現臺灣新生代專業舞者的生命力，並宣揚臺灣藝術教育的成果，進而達到國際藝術文化交流的目的。

【Splendor of Taiwan】
NTUA Da-Guan Dance Theater aims to cultivate excellent professionals in the arts of dance, to participate in all international exchanges of culture and arts, and to play the role as a culture pioneer. Known for its previous successful performance tour such as Memories of Taiwan (2010) and Fantastic Taiwan 101 (2012), NTUA Da-Guan Dance Theater has earned widespread recognition from the audience in North America, Splendor of Taiwan (2017) has helped promote friendly diplomatic relations, strengthen links with the overseas Taiwanese communities, and enhance the international image of Taiwan.
This year, Da-Guan Dance Theater has taken a more innovative approach to undertake the performance tour of “2017 Taiwanese American Heritage Week and Asian Heritage Month in Canada” organized and launched by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC). With the long-lasting professional attitude and elegant performance style, we especially present the beauty of dance arts with a strong Taiwanese flavor, featuring versatile themes and rich contents. Through an observation and a reflection of the sceneries and life scenarios of Taiwan, our presentation integrates into fifteen well-knit programs involving different cultural elements of Southern Min, Hakka, and Formosans. Within the span of one and half hours, we bring to you a cultural experience, brimming with nostalgic emotions as well as modern cultural taste. We wish to cross the borderline between languages, cultures, and races, to display the vitality and energy of newly rising dancers, to publicize the accomplishments of Taiwan’s arts education, most importantly, to reach the goal of international exchange of arts by means of a wonderful banquet of dance.

1.《大地》
萬物生生不息，擁有強而有力的內在能量，不間歇地持續醞釀著，冷靜且務實的態度，是一種看似平常卻是深層的能量積累，更意味著臺灣的堅忍毅力精神。
Earth Mother
All things prosper, endowed with strong inner power and evolove ceaselessly in a calm and practical attitude, which appears to be a commonplace while actually an accumulation of deep energy. Furthermore, it symbolizes the perseverance of Taiwanese people.
2.《鄉曲巡客》
處處為客，處處是家；硬頸精神，堅韌傳承；
團結奮進，熱情好客；一擔鄉曲，巡遊品客。
Hakka-A People of Diligence and Simplicity
Home is where the Hakka people are; Toughness is what they pass along; Cooperative, industrious, enthusiastic, and friendly are what they are; Folk song singing is how they feed their nostalgia.
3.《愛戀桐花》
油桐花在每年春末夏初綻放山頭，白皚皚一片，油桐花，花落彷彿五月雪；柔美姿態、隨著樂韻舞動，花旋流轉，桐花戀情。
In Love with Tung Flowers
Tung flowers blossom in mountains around the end of spring and the beginning of summer in sheer whiteness. Tung flowers fall like snowing in May; graceful and beautiful. Tung flowers dance to rhythms, swinging and swirling just like a girl in love.
4.《濃情蜜意》
悅耳動人的臺灣民謠「望春風」、「舊情綿綿」，誘人發出思古之幽情。以優美曼妙的舞蹈動作語彙，描繪樂曲之意境，與追憶前人的浪漫情懷。
Passionate
Beautiful and touching Taiwanese folk songs, Whispering Hope and Unending Memory, both evoke nostalgia. With graceful and wonderful movements, this dance not only depicts the context of the music and but reminds the audience of romantic mood of reminiscing our ancestors.
5.【廟會集錦】：《搶板凳》、《布袋戲》、《歌仔戲》、《醉顛》、《車鼓弄》
Temple Festival: Snatching the Stool, Glove Puppetry, Taiwanese Opera, Ji-Dian, The Drunken Monk, and Che-Gu-Nong.
《搶板凳》
一對活潑可愛的小姊弟，歡喜相偕廟前看戲去，在板凳上爭相坐看戲中人。
Snatching the Stool
A lovely pair of sister and brother come to the temple to watch the Taiwanese opera. They snatch the stool from each other in order to sit to see the actors on the stage.
《布袋戲》
又稱掌中戲，用布偶來表演地方戲劇，隨著電視的傳播，風靡於臺灣的五零年代，是當時孩童們的首選節目。
Glove Puppetry
Glove Puppetry is also called Palm Drama, which is a kind of local opera performed by puppets. It gained its popularity in Taiwan in the 60’s, and was the top priority among children’s TV programs.
《歌仔戲》
發源於宜蘭，演出內容多為忠孝節義故事，是早期農業社會重要娛樂活動之一，也是臺灣常民文化的代表。
Taiwanese Opera
Originated in Yi-Lan of Taiwan, it offers the public an opportunity to learn about morality stories, which was one of the entertainment programs in the old day’s of agricultural society as well as the symbol of Taiwanese common culture.
《醉 癲》
樂天知命快活過，世間諸事皆得解，人生瀟灑走一回。
Ji-Dian, The Drunken Monk
Ji-Dian is optimistic and content, and thus every puzzle seems to be simple to him. With this attitude, he leads his life just like a chic journey.
《車鼓弄》
臺灣陣頭之一，流傳於早年的農村社會，丑角以滑稽逗趣為原則，手持四塊(四寶)；旦角則以妖豔為原則，一手持扇，一手拿著絲巾，載歌載舞，相互逗弄。
Che-Gu-Nong
One of Taiwanese temple events, which was popular back in the old-time agricultural society. Clowns usually act funny, holding four musical treasures in their hands. Female protagonists, usually dressed fancily and attractively, hold a fan in one hand and silk belt in the other hand, sing, dance, and make fun of each other.
7.《絮語飛花》
「絮柳搖曳，倒映在湖水之中；百花爭豔，綻放在碧綠之上。」花與絮，共同交織烙印在你我心中。舞蹈意境呈現出美麗寶島親切質樸的情感。
Dancing of Catkins and Flowers
Catkins swing reflecting themselves in the lake; Flowers blossom dancing on the green grass. Flowers and catkins are cross-woven in our hearts. This dance suggests the friendliness and simplicity of beautiful Taiwanese people.
6.《綻》
盎然的春天，洋溢著青春的氣息，結伴嬉遊女孩們的甜美笑容，猶如綻放的花朵，展現台灣少女清純可人的樣貌。
Blossom
Fresh and green spring is filled with youth and energy. Girls going on an outing in company smile just like blossoming flowers.
8.《鈴設限》
「扯鈴」是民俗傳統玩具，老少咸宜，年長者與幼童可一同玩耍競技。
一個鈴，千變萬化；兩個鈴，無限可能；學習本無涯，人生無設限。
Diabolo
Diabolo is also called Kong-Zhu (Empty-Bamboo). It is a traditional toy, popular among both adults and children. Seniors and kids can play Diabolo games together. With one Diabolo, you can play it in more than one thousand ways; with two Diabolos, you can even play it in indefinite styles. Just like playing Diabolo, there is no limit to learning, and there is no boundary in life to stop us from proceeding.
9.《清風中》
春風吹拂著，生命湧動著，在流年輪迴中刻劃一串飛翔的足跡；
願，一段旅途、一個夢想，
在悠然中靜守著有情世界，花落花開、真誠且勇敢。
風信子，盛開在清風中……；象徵著旅居海外的僑胞們，在異鄉勤奮踏實的立命與安身。
Breeze
I am searching for a sense of exquisiteness and a sense of persistence. Breezes are blowing on my face, and blood is boiling in my body, which scribe a string of flying footsteps in reincarnation; I have been wishing for a journey and a dream, standing by this sentient world while flowers fall and blossom over and over again. Nevertheless, I still stay honest and brave. Hyacinths, blooming in breeze, symbolize the industriousness and diligence of overseas Taiwanese who have strived and endeavored in order to settle and gain a status in foreign land.
10.《風湧鎮八方》
外在局勢，詭譎多變，同心同德，力挽狂瀾。
United We Stand: Brave Warriors
Circumstances are always changing. We have to work hand in hand in order to turn the tide around.
11.《印象山林》
鮮明的節奏，質樸的舞步，動人的歌聲，譜成最自然的律動，令人心情愉悅隨之歡舞。
The Impression of the Hills
Clear and strong tempos, simple dances, and touching songs build up the most natural rhythms, bringing us a bright mood and tempting us to dance along with them.
